What does a Database Manager I at PRC do?

The Database Manager I is responsible for receiving client and vendor data and preparing the data for use by interviewing and production databases. They are also responsible for setting up various data fields that merge to the interviewing data records.

More specifically they…

    • Create and maintain databases for processing the data received from clients and vendors.

    • Make changes to databases based on respondent, interviewer, or client request and confirm action taken.

    • Create and send reports from the databases to clients and internal stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.

    • Identify deviation in patterns observed in data.

    • Participate in kickoff calls and other meetings as needed to understand client needs and study objectives.

    • Perform QA checks and troubleshoot errors.

    • Work in a team and effectively interact with others.

What does a Database Manager I at PRC need?

Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required. Market Research, Psychology or Sociology preferred; other majors considered.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Access/Excel/Outlook.

  • Experience with SQL is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to understand and interpret data and learn various computer applications.

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to spot variations in patterns.

  • Critical thinking skills. Analytical.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and team building skills.

  • Self-direction and an ability to work effectively with a minimal level of supervision, under strict deadlines.

  • Polite, professional, and courteous.

  • Ability to prioritize and maintain balance among multiple tasks.

  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize and delegate assignments to maintain multiple project schedules at once.
