What does a Software Developer at PRC do?
A Software Developer plays an important role in taking ideas and transforming them into real world solutions to help each customer and associate deliver the best service without technology getting in the way.

- Review current software and processes, analyzing, and presenting ideas for improvement.
- Work closely with software engineers, designers, stakeholders, and IT Management.
- Produce documentation and specifications for development needs.
- Integrate internal applications with external software and systems.
- Develop new applications and help make existing ones better.
- Build automated testing to assure properly functioning software before releasing to production.
- Participate in training for users as well as installation documentation for IT staff.
- Troubleshoot, support, and maintain software systems in production.
- Provide second-tier support for Help Desk ticket escalation
What does a Software Developer at PRC need?
- 4-year degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, other science related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- This is an entry-level position, so no work experience is required, but some non-academic experience is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of one or more programming languages and development environment. Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework and C#, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5 or familiarity with React or Angular a plus
- Understands and can apply object-oriented software principles.
- Ability to work efficiently and productively independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking skills, analytical.
- Detail oriented with an ability to prioritize and maintain balance among multiple tasks.
