Based off their CHNA data, Augusta Health developed a community nutrition strategy with the goal “to improve access to and education about healthy food.” This included the creation of a produce farm on their hospital campus developed in partnership with a local nonprofit organization. Over seven years, Augusta Health has continued to actualize their goals with multiple food access programs utilizing the produce grown on their campus’ farm. This session explores the planning and implementation of this initiative, answering attendee questions and sharing lessons learned for insights you can take back to your organization.
