The Healthcare Experience Matters Podcast by our Healthcare Experience Foundation (HXF) partners welcomes back Katie Owens to our program this week.
We chat about strategies for identifying and understanding our own strengths and weaknesses. Through our interview with Katie, we strive to uncover the various ways we can improve the patient experience by recognizing and embracing our own strengths.
As we learn on today’s episode, it can be easy to lose track of what we do well when we get fixated on our weaknesses. This episode serves as a reminder to the power of expanding and amplifying our strengths.
Katie Owens is the Co-Founder and President of the Healthcare Experience Foundation (HXF). The HXF mission is audaciously simple: shaping cultures so every person can receive and deliver the best healthcare experience.
We are excited to be teaming with Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC) to bring you today’s episode. You can learn more about how PRC empowers healthcare organizations to drive excellence by visiting their website: https://www.prcexcellence.com/
Katie’s insight comes from a career in patient care in both children’s health care and child life therapy, and her time working with leading for-profit and not-for-profit health systems. She has spent the last dozen years coaching hospitals and health systems throughout the United States to leverage culture to create amazing outcomes.
Focusing on strengths can also help elevate employee engagement as we learn through today’s chat with Katie. Discussing what drives employee engagement is at the heart of much of this interview.
“When employees are engaged they have the emotional commitment to their organization and its goals,” Katie said.
