Rachel Walter joined Lee Health in 2019 and currently serves as the organization’s Senior Innovation Catalyst. Lee Health is a non-profit health system based in Lee County, Florida, consisting of four acute care hospitals and several clinics and specialty facilities to treat over 2 million patients each year. In collaboration with Lee Health and Florida Gulf Coast University, Walter created a class and program for students to gain real-world public health experience through application of CHNA data and hands-on learning, providing both an opportunity for learning and a unique perspective to combatting community health disparities.
