In the spring of 2020, medical practices that were easing into a blended approach for patient visits of 10% telehealth/90% in-person suddenly found those numbers flipped upside down. Some practices hadn’t even started down the telehealth road; others had completely eliminated their in-person visits. Setting their fears and worries aside, physicians and providers and their teams made the brave, bold step to jump into telehealth with both feet. It wasn’t perfect and it wasn’t always feasible, but patients responded overwhelmingly with praise and gratitude for the healthcare team that was proving, once again, that their patients’ well-being was a top priority.
