Excellence in Healthcare Reflection
We’ve made it back from the 2018 Excellence in Healthcare Conference, gotten the last of the sand out of our shoes, and settled back into our work routine, a little more refreshed and a little more ready to take the healthcare world by storm.
Looking back on the conference, one of the most rewarding opportunities were the breakout sessions, offering a great way for smaller groups to enjoy concentrated learning on a specific subject with professionals whom face the same obstacles.
Below are just a few highlights from the breakout sessions:
Christie J. Hatch, MSN, RN, CEN, and Jesse O’Neal, MBA, MS, both of WakeMed Health & Hospitals, walked us through the benefits of having a dedicated Chaplain on staff.

Brianna Lynn Graham, MSN, RN-BC, ONC, of Parkview Health, delivered an amazing presentation on how to put the humanity back in healthcare and making a connection with the patient.

Lana Labhart, MSN, RN, RCIS, of St. Vincent Evansville, shared her successes with implementing a primary care model. Great results!
